According to an article in the Miami Herald today, Foreclosures in Florida are on the rise. One of the major supplies of data relating to the real estate industry, RealtyTrac reported that foreclosures were at their highest level of the year. 16,533 properties entered foreclosure proceedings in August an increase of 50% from July.
Broward County in particular was third in the country for foreclosures with one out of every 174 households involved. Miami Dade was in the top five with 195 households.
